ROLE SUMMARY

The Director of Retail Sales is responsible for overseeing all sales and retail operations of FLUENT, leading a patient-centric team, managing staffing, inventory, and sales goals of all stores in all markets, and providing clear direction to achieve company initiatives. Additionally, the Director of Retail Sales implements and maintains FLUENT`S policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all state and local laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive sales growth and increase market share across our retail channels. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record of success in retail sales management, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and objectives.
  • Collaborates with directors to ensure adequate training of all dispensary sales teams.
  • Direct the annual operations business plan development and implementation to align with FLUENT`S objectives.
  • Participate in the delivery and implementation of distribution hubs.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and development.
  • Develop a quarterly report that goes to executive management.
  • Work closely with all department heads to ensure all efforts are aligned.
  • Works closely with the Marketing Director and Chief Revenue Officer to execute training, sales, and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying new dispensary locations and efficiently preparing them to be operational promptly.
  • Handle and conduct all Department of Health inspections of new dispensaries.
  • Implement all protocols, policies, and procedures at each dispensary facility opened by FLUENT, ensuring that all dispensary facilities' operations practices comply with Fluent standards.
  • Assist Regional Managers and staff during initial operations and open to the public phases, including training and supervision of initial inventories, systems, equipment, and budgets.
  • Coordinate planning and attendance of the Grand Opening with other departments.
  • Development oversight and monitoring of the implementation of planned operations and/or specialty programs, including monitoring the daily routine of each dispensary.
  • Conduct regular meetings with regional managers to review their reports and set goals and objectives.
  • Development of procedures and file management documentation to assist in and create a more fluid and positive customer experience while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all dispensing facility employees maintain strict compliance with all regulatory and company policies.
  • Ensure strict record-keeping for all inventory, supplies, and sales from a dispensing facility.
  • Oversight of the hiring and termination processes of all dispensing facility employees.
  • Ensure all dispensing facilities maintain a safe and clean atmosphere for all employees and customers.
  • Analyze trends and improve operations to decrease costs.
  • Assess the continued viability of underperforming stores.
  • Work with HR to approve all retail management positions.
  • Identify new initiatives that will help benefit the patient experience and/or increase revenue.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the customer experience and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in retail management, managing a diverse team
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment; startup experience is a plus
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies and systems.
  • Analyze all relevant dispensary data to monitor and evaluate any changes and/or recommendations continuously.

SKILLS/INTERESTS

  • Must be a multi-tasker with the ability to work on several requests simultaneously without losing focus
  • Organization and initiative, good communication skills, proactive, problem-solving, time management, discretion and confidentiality are essential attributes
  • Ability to build good relationships. There will be frequent contact with internal and external people, either face-to-face or by telephone or email
  • Teamwork- collaborating with others to improve overall standards of work and service

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has supervisory responsibility of the General Managers from locations responsible for.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office and retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand at a workstation for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms and ability to work on iPad, laptop or desktop for extended periods of time reading, reviewing and analyzing information and providing recommendations and summaries to patients. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 25 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

TRAVEL

Some travel may be required but is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree ( or equivalent experience )
Master's Degree (preferred)

Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.

Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

Must be able to pass drug screen.
