Florida Natural Growers is Hiring a Machine Operator 3 (Day) Near Wales, FL
- Full time
- Department: Frozen BU
- Day Shift, 6AM - 6PM
- $19.06 hourly rate
- Internal from 11/15/2023 1PM until 11/20/2023 1PM
- Receive juice from Finishing Room, ATF, EPO tanks and OT's.
- Evaporate juice to specified Brix.
- Adhere to CIP schedule for Evaporators, Plate Chillers and associated lines/equipment.
- Keep area and grounds clean per schedule.
- Work closely with Q.A., Concentrate and Tank Farm personnel, supervisors, foreman, managers and all members of all teams.
- Work in hot, wet and cold weather and on any shift if needed.
- Meet all product quality requirements and follow SOP's, SSOP's and HACCP requirements.
- Record and maintain required logs.
- Assist with summer overhaul process and help in CTF when requested.
- Cross train on driving yard truck to move tankers on property.
- Actively participate in the Plant Safety Program.
- Regular attendance required.
- Must interact cordially with co-workers.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
- Employees must be able to navigate steps, stairs and ladders safely because of the many steps, stairs and ladders in our facility.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must pass the Basic Skills Assessment for this position.
- Must pass the Mechanical Aptitude Test. MSSC, CQIA, AND Lean Bronze certification preferred.
- Previous evaporator operation experience preferred.
- Must have a good work record.
- Must be dependable.
- Work experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in a juice tank farm setting is preferred.
- Must be able to work well with others.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work in high places.
- Must be willing to be trained in all aspects of essence recovery, plate coolers, and evaporation.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be familiar with computers and SOP documentation.
- Experience with HMI and PLC operations preferred.
- Good basic math skills required.
- Must be willing to work in temperature extremes including very cold and very warm areas.
- Must be able to enter and assist with cleaning bulk storage tanks in CTF when needed.
