Florida Natural Growers is Hiring a Machine Operator 3 Night Shift Near Wales, FL

- Night shift 5:45PM - 6AM
- $19.06 hourly rate
- Relieve all equipment operators on Lines 1,8,21&22.
- Give breaks and provide coverage during operator absences.
- Maintain accurate start up, clean up and shutdown checklists.
- Maintain accurate downtime logs as well as code verification documents.
- Maintain professional communication with blending lab and line personnel.
- Operate and perform size changeovers for Depalletizer, filler/capper system and labelers.
- Maintain clean and organized area while following GMPs.
- Maintain accurate RFX issuing of materials.
- Follow all hot pack filling and packing procedures.
- Perform size changes as needed on equipment.
- Perform minor mechanical adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency.
- Assist in evaluating issues preventing the lines from running at target efficiencies.
- Regular attendance required.
- Must interact cordially with co-workers.
- Must be an active participant of the company safety program.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
- Due to the significant amount of steps/stairs contained in our production facility, employees must have the ability to navigate steps/stairs in a safe manner.
- Must be able to read, write & speak English and perform basic math.
- Must be able to read, interpret and follow written instructions, including operator instructions, safety information, SOPs, and SSOPs.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to pass the Basic Skills Assessment for this position.
- Must pass the Mechanical Aptitude test with a minimum score of 65%.
- MSSC, CQIA or Lean Bronze certifications preferred.
- This is a mid-level machine operator position with an emphasis placed on attitude, skills and aptitude.
- Machine operation experience required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be physically able to move safely and quickly in reaction to line issues.
- Must be able to learn to operate all equipment on Lines 21 & 22 area proficiently.
- Must be able to work in a positive manner as a team member and be willing to cross train in other areas as needed.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must also have the aptitude and ability to cross train as back up for the Foreman position
