Overview

Compiles employees' time and production records by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Raven Payroll/Back-up for Other Payrolls
• Accurately process weekly payroll
• Exports pay data from McLeod and Pacific Timesheet
• Maintain the Pacific Timesheet database
• Maintains vacation and personal day balances
• Keys Exception Time
• Prepares Accounts Payable vouchers for payroll deductions including payroll taxes
• Prepares all payroll tax returns (Federal, State, and Local Tax Returns)
• Process interim payroll runs as needed
• Key direct deposit and W4 changes
• Terminate employee after last paycheck processed
• Answers all payroll questions
• Assist with W2s and year end filings
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
• Update Wiki to keep instructions current

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma

• 2 or more years of experience required in payroll
• Experience in Microsoft Excel

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting
• JD Edwards (Enterprise One) experience
• Railroad industry experience

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Up to 10% travel may be required
• Ability to work overtime, nights and/or weekends as needed
• Valid driver’s license
• The applicant selected for this position will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test
