Norlee Group is looking for a highly motivated Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will focus on regular and prevailing wage payroll, as well as administering all aspects of the company’s payroll needs. Work is with minimal supervision, but with direct interaction with the CFO and interdepartmentally, as required.

What this Role Will Do:
Ensure that regular and prevailing wage/certified payroll is processed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Ensure that government and agency reporting deadlines are met and adhered to consistently.
Ability to use industry standard regular and prevailing wage software efficiently.
Gather, review, and input employee pay and project hours data on a weekly basis.
Monitor and maintain amendments in determining pay-rates on an individual county-by-county basis if necessary.
Initiate, process, and manage all remittances for hourly and salaried staff, including 401K, benefits, apprenticeship, journeymen dues, worker’s compensation remittances / audits and garnishments.
Report on a weekly basis various job costing reports that interact directly with the ERP accounting system, for management review and tracking.
Conduct government required employment verifications and report, which includes employment insurance, E-Verify, etc.
You’ll be great fit if:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar discipline, or at least 3 years’ experience in a related role, or equivalent education / related experience.
Must be extremely organized, accurate, possess high level of attention to detail and be able to perform successfully under pressure and in a timely manner.
Ability to read, interpret, understand, and report on related accounting and payroll status.
Proficient capabilities in computing fractions, percentages, costs, gross margins, gross profit, and thorough understanding of fluctuating labor rates.
Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products, together with payroll applications such as HH2, SAGE Payroll, and Foundation Payroll for Construction.
Must have multi-state experience.
