Norlee Group is looking for a highly motivated Jr. Electrical Estimator to join our team. The Jr. Estimator is to assist the system engineers and chief estimator in calculating the costs of materials for low voltage projects or other types of systems within a project. As a Jr. Estimator, you will prepare initial cost estimates for the required supplies and services, create pricing schedules, develop bid proposals (if required), and assess the technical aspects of the project.
We are currently offering a $28-$32/HR for this full-time Jr. Electrical Estimator, In-office Monday through Friday position.

Duties of the Role:

• All aspects of electrical estimating including composing BOMs, performing takeoffs, inputting takeoff data, submitting RFIs, and writing proposals
• Calculate the costs of materials for low voltage projects or other types of systems within a project.
• Build the estimate from start to finish ensuring that all aspects of the plans and specs. are covered in our bid.
• Assist the senior estimator to Coordinate and streamline the bid process on each individual project.
• Assist with contract negotiations and review.
• Review estimate with Vice President and project managers once contract is awarded.
• Assist in creating budgets and schedule of values.

You’ll be a great fit if:

• You have 2 years of electrical estimating experience in either multi-family or commercial electrical construction.
• Knowledge of Accubid Estimating software is preferred but not required.
• You possess knowledge of Low Voltage Projects.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge and understanding of blueprints, specifications, and proposals.
• You have proven experience managing priorities as workloads, deadlines, and circumstances change.
• You possess strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate in a timely manner with customers, vendors, employees, and management.
• You have a strong knowledge of the NEC and building codes.
