Department Description
The Kitchen Department is a fundamental pillar in safeguarding the food quality at fit-flavors. Our team diligently oversees the quality of ingredients from our vendors, monitors the preparation process by our prep team, and ensures the final cooked dishes meet our high standards. Within the kitchen, various stations, ranging from the dishwasher to the chef de cuisine, each play a crucial role in delivering the delightful and nutritious meals our customers have come to expect.
Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Dishwasher/Utility person to join our team. This role is focused on supporting your growth both professionally and personally while you work on maintaining the cleanliness of our dishes. In this position, you'll work closely with our sous chefs and chef de cuisine to ensure our standards are met.
You won't be alone in your journey! Your direct manager and a trainer will be there to guide you, providing the support and resources you need to succeed in your role.

Education & Experience
Desire and willingness to develop professionally
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Background and/or interest in health/nutrition industry
Willingness to put in the time and effort required to complete core job functions
Schedule
Full Time
40 hours a week
Monday - Friday
8 hours per day
Compensation
$18.00 per hour
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physically able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in a wet environment
- Able to work in a loud environment
Key Result Areas & Responsibilities
Kitchen Department | Dishwasher/Utility
- Maintaining the cleanliness of all dishes.
- Prioritize cleaning dishes by the ones used most frequently or the ones needed by each department to complete their job.
- Maintain the organization of clean and dirty dishes.
- Gather dirty dishes from the packaging department.
- Remove labels from all dishes.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dish station. (squeegee floors, clear food debris from station, wipe down walls etc..)
- Work with the other dishwashers to maintain speed, cleanliness and the organization of the dishes.
- When the dish station is caught up it is the dishwashers responsibility to communicate with the chefs for other cleaning/prepping tasks.
- The water in the machine needs to be changed out every hour.
- Monthly deep cleaning duties as specified by the Chef De Cuisine and Sous Chefs to be completed.
