POSITION SUMMARY:
The Construction Project Manager for Facilities will manage, and control all assigned
projects from "start to finish" and operate within all facets of the process. The
Construction Project Manager must demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities in
project oversight and management. Specialized construction and maintenance
experience and training is desirable with some experience with historical
renovation/restoration, design/construction, and regulatory/code processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Manage assigned project budgeting, estimating and/or pricing for services,
effectively communicating with clients/subs alike, effectively resolve conflicts or
discrepancies, and prepare written contracts.
•Determine and define project scope and objectives.
•Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an
effective and efficient manner.
•Assist with budget preparation based on scope of work and resource
requirements.
•Track project costs to meet budget and established timelines; monitor progress
and adjust as needed.
•Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan to provide
project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy,
adjustments, and progress.
•Oversee field operations & safety by working in conjunction with the assigned
Superintendent on the project team.
•Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and
communicating expected deliverables.
•Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire
project execution.
•Measure project and vendor performance to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: 4 Year degree in Construction/Project Management or High
School/technical school & college courses preferred but not required or a
combination of demonstrable experience, training, and certification.
Experience: 3 years related experience or equivalent role (Commercial, Industrial
Construction experience preferred).
Licenses or Certificates: Valid driver's license with a vehicle available for
recruitment travel; One or more certifications in a skilled trade; General Contractor
License preferred.
Additional Requirements: A background and/or credit check will be required of the
successful applicant. An official transcript (if applicable) and names, addresses and
phone numbers of three (3) references will be required of the successful applicant.
