Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in helping others and ensuring the well-being of those under their care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Aid clients in mobility, including transferring and lifting when necessary
- Follow care plans and ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with individual needs
- Document care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Experience in senior care or related field is preferred
- Ability to lift and move clients safely, including performing heavy lifting tasks
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and respect for patient confidentiality
- Familiarity with resident rights and ethical care practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members
- Background in nursing, social work, or related healthcare field is a plus
- Willingness to undergo training as required for the role
