First Station Media is seeking a dedicated billing specialist to join our growing and dynamic team. This position will be mostly remote but the candidate will need to be able to come to the office in the Milwaukee area when needed.

Billing Specialist Duties
- Perform financial report writing and analysis to provide accurate and timely financial information
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Perform bank reconciliation to verify the accuracy of transactions and balances
- Assist with technical accounting tasks, such as preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities
- Utilize 10-key typing skills for data entry and calculations
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and customer account analysis
- Assist with governmental accounting tasks, such as preparing financial statements and reports

Billing Specialist Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Proficient in 10-key typing for data entry

Strong candidates will have knowledge of Quickbooks and Freshbooks. Familiarity with Paychex is a plus.
