Job Title: Junior Credit Analyst Status Non-Exempt

Department: Credit Administration

Reports To: Credit Manager

Primary Purpose of the JOB:

The Junior Credit Analyst is responsible for using established underwriting techniques on commercial credit requests and performing portfolio maintenance related activities on existing commercial loan relationships.

Essential DUTIES:

  • Prepare Committee Presentation Sheets for New and Existing Commercial Credits
  • Produce cash flows using Excel software
  • Produce collateral charts using acceptable valuation methods and approved advance rates
  • Spread financial statements using Moody's Lending Cloud
  • Use Fiserv Navigator to summarize lending and deposit relationships of commercial loan customers
  • Comment on existing customers’ compliance with financial statement reporting requirements
  • Verify lien positions, proper insurance and tax payment status
  • Record committee minutes for upper management reporting
  • Run and analyze personal credit reports
  • Prepare a "Credit Department Opinion" and review existing risk rating for committee presentations
  • Verify compliance with covenants
  • Create and maintain a courteous and professional relationship with co-workers while maintaining timely and prompt daily attendance

Required Experience/SKILLS:

  • Six months to 1 year of relevant experience
  • Analytical, organizational, and accounting skills
  • Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously

Required EDUCATION:

  • Actively working towards a Bachelor’s Degree; concentration in Finance/ Business / Accounting preferred

Working CONDITIONS:

  • Office environment with little exposure to physical hazards or conditions
  • Ability to enter data into a computer and work with computer programs: Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to reach with hands and fingers, touching computer buttons/adding machine buttons for extended periods of time
