This position will oversee warehouse operations for shipping, receiving, and the delivery of material to production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishes standard workflows and procedures for warehouse material personnel.
- Assigns workloads and allocates resources based on staffing and production needs.
- Responsible for warehouse inventory accuracy, coordinates cycle counts, investigate inventory variances, and implements effective countermeasures.
- Communicates part issues and shortages to appropriate departments and management.
- Maintains 5S/3D practices in the warehouse.
- Develops and implements departmental goals, action plans, and objectives.
- Supervises, trains and develops staff.
- Completes performance evaluations and initiates disciplinary action.
- Participates in employment interviewing and hiring decisions.
- Leads and participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1 – 3 years previous experience in warehouse supervision, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with an ERP system using bar code scanning and sending ASNs to automotive customers, preferred.
- Strong computer and math skills, experience with Microsoft Office.
