Job Description
The Prep Cook will assist in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, making salads, and putting together entrees. They will be responsible for ensuring that all ingredients are properly stored and labeled, and that the kitchen is kept clean and organized. The Prep Cook will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are prepared to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Chop vegetables and prepare ingredients for cooking
- Make salads and other cold dishes
- Assist in the preparation of entrees
- Ensure that all ingredients are properly stored and labeled
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized
- Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Prep Cook or similar role
- Knowledge of food preparation and safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
