FGS Global, a leading strategic communications and government relations consulting firm, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented junior professional. This position will be based in our Washington, D.C. office.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Administrative support for Partners in Government Affairs, including:

• Manage schedules
• Prepare expense reports
• Submit billable hours
• Handle travel logistics and bookings
• Serve as point person for the Partners and filter internal and external requests appropriately

Support general client work and new business efforts, including:

• Conduct research on a wide range of policy topics
• Assist in drafting business development materials and PowerPoint decks for presentations
• Monitor pending legislation and track developments
• Draft memos and other written materials for an external audience
• Take notes at client meetings/calls
• Cover congressional hearings and write summaries for clients

ATTRIBUTES

• Bachelor's degree
• Previous internship experience in government affairs/communications field is desirable
• Excellent writing, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
• Ability to become a strong communicator and analytical thinker
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Genuine interest in policy and politics generally
