SPS Global is Hiring a Facilities Associate Near Washington, DC

The Facilities Associate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and troubleshooting the physical office space to ensure the end users have a functional working environment. This role works in conjunction with the facilities management team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform floor inspections.
  • Assist with office moves.
  • Maintain conference rooms.
  • Accept and resolve service request tickets.
  • Support facilities management team.
  • Proactively maintain the floors for tidiness, safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist with conference room set-ups/configurations.
  • Hang pictures, white boards, etc., as requested.
  • Repair office furniture as needed (chairs, table legs, etc.)
  • Assist with assigned day and overtime moves in and out of building and assigned floors.
  • Primary point of contact for assigned floors for user groups, building and management.
  • Oversee third party vendor duties, all while remaining in compliance with local, state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of office support or facilities experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn skills quickly.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products pertaining to the specific position including but not limited to Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to navigate internal software programs.
  • Reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed. Initiative and ability to work unsupervised.

Physical Demands:

  • Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move furniture using dollies and hand carts with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating tool sets (screwdriver, hammer, wrenches, levels, etc.)
  • Ability to lift or move 50 lbs.
