Lake Compounce Painters are primarily responsible for corrosion control and painting of all aspects of the Lake Compounce Park & Campground to include rides, structures, and facilities. We are currently looking for a: Lake Compounce - Painter Roles & Responsibilities: Summary Primarily responsible for corrosion control and painting of all aspects of the Lake Compounce Park & Campground to include rides, structures, and facilities. Roles & Responsibilities Responsible for preparing and painting a variety of surface types including wood, fiberglass, metal, pavement, etc. Uses appropriate tools and materials for each specific project. Recommend most appropriate material and application process. Assist in preparing project material and labor cost estimates and ordering needed materials. Responsible for inspecting surface coatings of structures and facilities and providing recommendations to park management for decisions related to corrosion control and painting. Provide good workmanship in a timely manner while meeting established deadlines. Comply with Company policies and regulations established by OSHA, NFPA, etc. as well as local, state, and federal guidelines. Assist other mechanics and trades personnel with any aspect of Lake Compounce as assigned by direct supervisor. Properly prioritize and complete work assignments with minimal direction and supervision. Requirements Education: High School diploma required; vocational training in a painting or mechanical trade is a plus. Languages: Fluent English Skills: Communication – Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively with a wide range of diverse personnel Problem Solving/Analysis: Define problems, troubleshoot malfunctions, and determine appropriate corrective action for wide range of facilities and equipment. Executive Presence – Represent the Company well internally and externally; convey a professional and positive image of the organization and business affiliates Flexibility – Handle multiple priorities simultaneously; maintain a flexible work schedule to meet changing demands for multiple concurrent projects Initiative and Adaptability – Take initiative and execute plans to accomplish strategic objectives in a fast-paced, evolving environment Experience: Five years of painting experience. Vocational training or comparable training may be considered in lieu of experience. Other: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license Must have a thorough knowledge of equipment used in support of painting and corrosion control Must be skilled in the application of specialty coatings including two-part mixtures, epoxy coatings, rubberized textured coating material, and high-traction coatings Must provide tools and equipment related to mechanical trades required for ride inspections Must be able to work at heights in excess of 100 feet Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a variety of environmental conditions Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes evening, weekends, and holidays Must be Self-Motivated, detail-oriented, the ability to work well with others and work in a very fast paced environment Relationships Internal: Interact with all levels of the organization External: Interact with a wide variety of vendors, suppliers, guests and other business leaders Team member benefits: Why Palace Entertainment?
