Summary This position provides leadership and direction for all aspects of operation, revenue management and P&L responsibility at the Lake Compounce Campground. This includes managing all activities, events, finances, presentation and programs associated with the campground in accordance with company policies and procedures, federal and state regulations. Roles & Responsibilities Develop and oversee the revenue and expense budget for the campground Manages the reservation process, trains and develops all team members on the processes involved in maintaining the daily operations Coaches the team to deliver an exceptional guest experience, including guest recovery and proactive tactics Creates weekly schedules for the campground team Participates in all daily operations and functions of the campground Oversees the retail operation of the campground, including inventory management, revenue management, and upkeep and presentation of the store Manages Housekeeping process for furnished accommodations Collaborates with other departments, such as Marketing, Entertainment, Sales, Retail and Food & Beverage, for special events and projects Participates in the strategic planning and growth of the campground, including development of new ideas for revenue growth and project management for the resort Monitors and analyzes industry trends in order to remain competitive in the market Monitors the campground team needs, employee training, and incentive programs Works with Maintenance on physical upkeep needs of the campground including facilities and landscaping Ensure the security of assets, finances, team members and guests Contributes to maintaining a safe environment for all employees and guests Monitors compliance to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as established company policies and procedures Resolves employment relations issues and seeks assistance from P&O as needed Participates in the Manager on Duty rotation for the amusement park Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a valid driver’s license Must be able to communicate in English Must be able to read and understand financial statements Must have at least one (1) year of supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in campground management or five (5) years of patronage at campgrounds Experience in hotel operations or retail management is a plus Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications Must pay attention to detail and have good organizational skills Experience working with reservation systems and retail operations Working Conditions Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be willing to work extended hours when necessary Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions Must be able to stand, bend and lift at least 50 pounds Organization Number of direct reports: 30 Team member benefits: Why Palace Entertainment?
