We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our AP team! As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be processing a high volume of vendor invoices, check payments and electronic disbursements with high level of accuracy for our multi-company corporate office including allocating invoices and purchase orders among multiple corporate entities.
Responsibilities:- Processing of daily vendor invoices and distributing to appropriate AP staff.
- Reviewing GL codes for accuracy.
- Allocating invoices between multiple companies as appropriate.
- Entering payables in Yardi Procure to Pay software.
- Corresponding with campus personnel and vendors on a daily basis via email and phone.
- Processing weekly in office check run.
- Preparing monthly AP accrual journal entries.
- Reconciling vendor statements, and intercompany reimbursements.
- Assists with annual audit of payables transactions, annual 1099 filings, and other duties as assigned by AP Manager.
- Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Accounts Payable.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
- Experience with Yardi and P2P software a plus.
- MS Excel experience is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office products is required.
- Prior experience in a multi-company environment.
Schedule:
- This position is working from home. However, this is subject to change.
- Flexible schedule, Monday Friday.
- Mandatory to report to the corporate office once a week for check runs. (Office location: 2400 W Dunlap Ave Suite 250, Phoenix, AZ 85021).
- Must reside in the Maricopa County, Arizona district.
