Data Analytics Analyst (Life Companies)

What You’ll Do:

• Collect and organize data from internal and external data sources and review for integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
• Assist with preparation of policyholder experience studies and other in-force management reporting.
• Develop clear, concise, and computationally efficient code to extract information and insights supporting development of management decisions and strategies.
• Assist with database design, administration, and maintenance.
• Research and implement new packages, tools, and process improvements that result in greater efficiency, improved data quality, and new functionality.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

• Have a college degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Data Analytics preferred) or combination of equivalent plus one-year relevant experience required.
• Data research and analysis experience is preferred. 
• Experience with R and/or Python, SQL, and spreadsheets. 
• Have strong problem solving and organizational skills, as well as strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work from our office in West Des Moines, IA.
