Who are we? We are an employee rewarding, growing organization that is winning nationally in the world of signs and graphics. We believe a team like we've built can sincerely improve the lives of our employees and our customers - that's why we've made "improve life, together" our purpose.
What do we do here? We deliver visual communication solutions - we work in an amazing industry that merges the functional with the creative. We are manufacturing pros and we are production artists. We deal with the complexity of technology and color while we obsess over the basics of good process and loving people. We have BIG plans to continue to be an eyebrow raising, inventive, growing company and we can’t do it without the best people and team.
We are looking for a passionate co-worker, great communicator and an excellent person to be a critical part of our team; someone special to take REALLY good care of our craft and customer. We have high expectations for customer obsession and building fantastic company culture. We have chosen a culture of communication (it's how we win). A culture of performance (it's how we grow). And a culture of kindness (it's how we create a place we all want to be). This is incredibly hard to build and maintain.
We’ve built something special; perhaps you can be part of it.
What you’re good at:
You’re technology savvy. You move fast on a computer.
You’re a good project manager and organized.
You’ve lived in the technical productivity suites (Office/Google/Acrobat/etc) and know how to get stuff done.
You’re pretty good at that calculator app on your phone - ie you’re decent at basic math
You’re into helping recognize and appreciate people
You’re an excellent communicator.
You have a sense of urgency and take pride in helping your team excel
You like following a process, consider yourself detail oriented, and like checking off to-do’s.
In fact you really, really like checking boxes, clearing inboxes and lists, and being efficient
You're a patient and flexible person. Estimators deal with all sorts of personalities - we have a passionate team trying to take care of tight deadlines and challenging and creative builds.
Experience in basic construction and/or signage builds and bids is a plus, but not required
“Spreadsheet Ninja” is a relatable title
Some of the challenges of this job
Signs, Graphics, Print, New Construction - our world is vast. I mean, there’s a lot to learn. There’s a considerable but expected learning curve. You gotta be sharp and grasp things quickly.
A lot of screen time: some people love the screen time, and some not so much - this is mostly digital estimating so there is a lot of time at your workstation; however, our philosophy is to give you really nice tools and make things comfortable for you - we treat you like a person, not a “human resource”.
Mix tight deadlines and lot’s of complexity and customization with a dose of demanding customers…what a fantastic and tasty combo! The inevitable tensions can bring a lot of satisfaction and some stress.
Why you want to work here:
We want to create the best workplace our employees have ever experienced. We are not for everyone though - the historical growth and big plans create many challenges and problems to solve and well, there’s a lot to do. We are generally a very flexible company made of really good people that want to be better and we’re dedicated to serving each other. We have great benefits and because we are a national and growing company, there is a ton of opportunity for those that want to grow with us. Besides, we get to create beautiful things all day that our customers desperately need and they find both exciting and useful, with tons of variety throughout the day - all with an all-star, winning team!
