HoursFirst Shift: Monday to Friday - 6:00am - 2:30pm
Swing Shift: Monday to Friday - 2:00pm-10:30pm
 
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Production Machine Operator, you'll be at the heart of our operations, working in a dynamic, creative and fast-paced environment to create and assemble sign and graphic products.. This role offers the unique benefit of cross training in different areas of production, giving you the opportunity to learn certain types of machinery and expand your skill set.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • 1st Shift: $22-28 per hour, 2nd Shift: $24-30 per hours. (Depending on Experience)

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Following a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on substrate or medium.
  • Preparing substrates for vinyl application. May include cutting, laminating, transfer taping, cleaning, and maintaining substrates for vinyl application.
  • Weeding excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of the image.
  • Operating and maintaining machines.
  • Performing quality assurance measures, accurately reading and interpreting work orders, and proofing.
  • Operating Flat bed cutting machines.
  • Performing finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces.
  • Reporting inventory levels and stock to be reordered to material handler, production supervisor or procurement manager.
  • Helping unload and store raw materials; clean and maintain areas.
  • Getting involved in machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Basic Computer literacy
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demanding standards for quality and productivity.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-2 years of experience in a printing or signage environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing.
  • Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Experience with digital printing software and color management.
  • Knowledge of different substrates and their preparation for vinyl application.
  • Ability to perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and mounting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
  • Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
  • Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.
  • Ability to use light power equipment.
