Monday to Friday, 2-10:30pm
Some overtime and weekends may be occasionally required.

POSITION SUMMARYPrinter Operators will work in a dynamic, creative and fast-paced environment to create and assemble sign and graphic products for many different business applications. Positional requirements include printing graphics using a variety of large format printers, plotting vinyl, laminating, transfer taping, and weeding excess material.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on substrate or medium.
  • Prepare substrates for vinyl application. May include cutting, laminating, transfer taping, cleaning, and maintaining substrates for vinyl application.
  • Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of the image.
  • Operate and maintain printer(s).
  • Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
  • Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces.
  • Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to material handler, production supervisor or procurement manager.
  • Help unload and store raw materials; clean and maintain areas.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational level.
  • Basic competency in computer operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders accurately.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
  • Basic understanding of inventory practices, including reporting and stocking levels.
  • Knowledge of different substrates and their preparation for vinyl application.
  • Ability to perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and mounting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a printing, signage, or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with pallet jack and/or forklift operation.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing.
  • Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Experience with digital printing software and color management.

  • $24-30/hr (depending on experience)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
  • Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
  • Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.
  • Ability to use light power equipment.
