Introduction: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider specializing in Substance Abuse to join our multidisciplinary team. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of providing comprehensive and individualized care for patients struggling with substance use disorders. Your expertise in addiction medicine will contribute to our mission of offering hope and transforming lives through integrated treatment plans and innovative recovery strategies. Summary: Advanced Practice Provider provides a vital role in all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Our Nurse Practitioner works independently but in collaboration with an attending physician to provide outstanding patient care.
Education: Family Nurse Partitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Licenses/Certification: Full, unrestricted license in the State. ACLS, PALS. BLS (Certifications can be obtained or renewed through our in-house nurse educator)
Experience: Minimum three years as an Advanced Practice Provider. Will consider applicants with 1-2 year of experience.
Essential Functions:
In-Patient/Substance Abuse/Eating Disorder/Surgical Services Clinic
- Primary functions will include servicing the clinics by providing consultations for any surgical or PI referrals to determine if consulting with surgeon is necessary.
- Demonstrates a strong desire to help patients, families and all referents in the transition to treatment.
- Conduct health assessments including recording complete medical and psychosocial history
- Record symptoms
- Physically examine patients
- Make diagnoses
- Develop a treatment plan that may include medication and other therapies
- Provide patient education to promote habits that will prevent diseases and maintain good health
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses
- Order and interpret laboratory test results
- Follow up on a patient to determine the effectiveness of recommended treatments
