Overview:
The Finance Support Specialist/Administrative Assistant will play a vital role in the Church’s shared financial services operations by processing and recording the organization’s expense transactions, maintaining the weekly offering deposits in the collection’s database, and provide administrative support to the staff. He/She must be self-motivated, flexible, with a high level of integrity and possess the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Relationships:
· Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and automatic payments ensuring proper authorization of all expenditures and confirm the correct general ledger account codes are used
· Generate bill payments via preferred payment methods to vendors and reimbursement recipients on a timely basis and match payment authorization requests with appropriate supporting documentation.
· Works with vendors on any payment questions and disputes.
· Assist with bank reconciliations and generate reports as necessary
· Maintain filing system for financial information, records, and documents to ensure that information is easily available.
· Accurately record all offering deposits into the contribution database, prepare member contribution statements and keep the database up-to-date.
· Maintain weekly envelope giving and attendance report presented at weekly staff meetings
· Manage all Memorial Fund balances in accordance with our Memorial Fund Policy
· Manage all reserve balances & reports for FCCNS
· Manage monthly FCCNS Reimbursables
· Process all background checks for volunteers and church staff
· Assist staff with weekly mailings, sermon website uploads, and the printing worship bulletins.
· Manage registrations for VBS, Sunday School and Youth events
· Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
· This position will be supervised by the Finance Manager

Preferred Experience/Skills:
· Associate degree in business or equivalent
· Proficient in MS Office Suite, database skills
· Experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software
Compensation & Time Commitment:
· $18 to $20 per hour
· 20 hours per week
· Flexible hours
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
