Description

Job Summary

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration and of the employer-sponsored health and welfare, retirement, and leave of absence programs at Express Employment International. This position will provide support to Employees, Associates, and the Benefits Team under the direction of the Director, Benefits Administration. The Benefits Analyst is responsible for supporting the compliance of the company’s benefit programs and supporting the goals and objectives of the Operational and Organizational Development department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Investigates benefit issues and works with vendors to resolve.
  • Assists with new-hire orientations and open enrollment processes.
  • Conducts periodic audits to ensure plans are administered appropriately.
  • Serves as a contact for third-party leave administration and disability.
  • Ensures accurate eligibility and enrollment of Employees and Associates in the retirement benefit plans.
  • Ensures retirement benefit plan contributions to all plans are transmitted timely and accurately to the plan administrator.
  • Assist and respond to Employee and Associate questions relating the day-to-day administration of the benefit programs at Express.
  • Provides support for monitoring the effectiveness and cost of benefit programs while collaborating with the Benefits Team to make recommendations as needed for improvements.
  • Conduct research and analysis on employee benefits trends, benchmark surveys and workplace best practices. Track and review proposed legislation and estimate the impact(s).
  • Assist in the implementation of benefit program changes through vendors and support the development of internal communication plans.
  • Analyzes current processes and identifies process improvements where appropriate

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to benefits and retirement plans
  • Excellent organizational stills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Must be able to work both independently and within a team
  • Must have the ability to handle sensitive situations and keep information confidential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong working background in Excel

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor or Associates degree in HR or related field required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of direct benefits administration experience
