Trissential is currently seeking a QA Lead to join our client team in Milwaukee, WI. This is a Hybrid position, requiring one day per week in the office.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The QA Lead is responsible for coordinating testing efforts to ensure the deliverables align to the client's business designs and required capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead UAT Testing to ensure the solution and functionality meets the implemented requirements.
• Create an environment to foster efficient and effective communication related to testing.
• Make decisions as required to meet the project scope and schedule related to testing.
• Generate effective testing metrics and communicate team progress.
• Oversee the testing efforts and outcomes to support the agreed upon scheduled project testing timeframe.
• Own the test capability for a set of business processes or functionalities that have been logically grouped for testing.
• Responsible for traceability across test capability.
• Manages test scope including any changes to tests after approval.
• Ensure that the change request process are used to document adds, removes, changes to tests.
• Create and manage detailed test plans for execution including the daily work plan, and assign test cases to testers.
• Coordinate with other test leads from vendors when cross-functional testing is required.
• Work with SME to obtain test case reviews and the Business Lead for test case approval.
• Ensures data requests from testers are addressed to support testing efforts.
• Manage environment connectivity issues/requests with Environment Manager.
• Raise issues/questions to the clients IT and Business Leads as candidates for test aid or mass communication.
• Coordinate daily standups as needed.
• Coordinate Daily Bug Meeting as needed.
• Review all defects for the test capability before attending the Daily Bug Meeting.
• Confirm defect validity, priority, and ensure all bugs have the required information per the defined bug template.
• Manage bug retest (reassign test cases back to testers).
• Assign and monitor the testing efforts to ensure completion of approved test cases for each deliverable.
• Provide regular status updates on testing efforts to the Business Lead.

Qualifications

• IT testing experience in an energy/utilities domain, including working with systems such as SCADA, EMS, OTS, OMS and DTS.

Skills

• 3-5 years of professional experience in a project
• Intermediate theoretical knowledge in quality assurance methodologies and has awareness of new and emerging technologies and developments
• Has good applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge and has practical experience of and is proficient with testing tools and frameworks required to deliver
• Strong understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
• Proven ability in assuring project meets quality standards by providing technical guidance in planning, designing, executing testing, and developing procedures relating to product quality
• Experience in applying problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and solve operational and interpersonal problems
• Experience in being responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members and providing guidance and training to enable others

Benefits

Trissential offers a competitive hourly rate for this role, ranging between $65 to $80 per hour on a full time (40 hours per week) basis.
