Job Title: HR Manager/Human Resources Manager

Location: Virtual (Preference for candidates in the DC Metro area due to monthly meetings

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will focus on enhancing our employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor law, and managing our Learning Management System (LMS). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of government contracting, showcasing expertise that supports our mission and growth. As a virtual position, we offer the flexibility of remote work with a preference for candidates located in the DC Metro area to facilitate occasional in-person meetings and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive employee relations strategies to foster a positive work environment and high levels of employee engagement.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with all labor laws and regulations, staying abreast of any changes that could impact the company.
  • Manage and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it meets the needs of the organization and contributes to employee development.
  • Serve as an expert in government contracting, guiding the organization through the complexities and requirements of working with government entities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine HR policies and procedures that support the organization's goals and comply with legal standards.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving organizational culture and employee satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on employee relations issues, performance management, and HR best practices.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in employee relations, labor law, and managing Learning Management Systems.
  • Expertise in government contracting, with a solid understanding of the specific requirements and regulations associated with this sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual setting, with a preference for candidates in the DC Metro area.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
