Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Administrator position at EW Grobbel is responsible for processing weekly payroll and overseeing the calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. The Payroll Administrator also provides a service in support of internal inquiries from employees and assists in month-end and year-end reporting.

Requirements:

• Process hourly and salary employee payroll using ADP weekly.
• Timekeeping, reviewing hours worked and partnering closely with supervisors to discuss discrepancies.
• Update payroll system with changes to employee files for deductions, pay rate changes, personnel information, etc.
• Update and prepare payroll reports.
• Assist with year-end reporting and reconciliations.
• Ensures processes and policies are followed for compliance to audited areas. Regularly self-audits to determine any gaps in processes, procedures and ensures gaps are closed to meet requirements.

Key Qualifications:

• Payroll Administration or Accounting experience for a manufacturing environment/industry.
• 3-5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of payroll record keeping and reporting procedures.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing payroll and payroll tax reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ADP Workforce Now payroll processing required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
• Ability to communicate professionally and pleasantly while working directly with co-workers either in person, on the phone or via email
• Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality regarding company and client information.
• A high degree of accuracy is required
