FOH Supervisior

About the Position

As a full-timeFOH Manager, you will promote our brewpub both as an inclusive destination and a welcoming daily gathering place. The Managers is responsible for all brewpub activities and assumes accountability to manage the pub to the growing goals and budget of Leadership projections. The managerensures all employees (foh and on occasional boh employees) are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job descriptions. The FOH Manager will join our team at a key point in ERIS’s growth trajectory. They will work directly with our General Manager and Leadershipto reach our collective dreams. 

General Requirements of the Job:

  • Serving shifts with tips
  • Scheduling all FOH positions 
  • Training FOH staff within servers, hosts and SA.
  • Floor Management:
  • Regular running of FOH restaurant operations
  • Creation and management of floor plans/assigning server sections
  • Calling off/calling in/cutting of FOH staff
  • Preparing menus for service
  • Pre-shifting all staff before service
  • Working with Host stand to ensure all reservations and events are able to be seated in a timely manner
  • Ensuring successful execution of all Private Events and Weekly Events
  • Working behind bar when needed
  • Bussing tables when needed
  • Running kitchen expo when needed
  • Management of POS, 86’ing items, adding new items
  • Scanning and entry of invoices into computer
  • Ensuring all FOH SOPs, checklists, and cleaning routines are properly followed and executed by staff
  • Checking out BOH line and dish pit
  • Locking up and checking restaurant before EON

Office Work:

  • Inventory and COGS of the retail merchandise.
  • Management of Labor COGS
  • Creating checklist and cleaning schedules
  • Regular reading and answering of email
  • Regular writing of notes and important communications in the Daily Comm
  • General good practice in following of SOPs in regards to file computer storage/naming
  • Proper use and checking/troubleshooting of Tip Tracker, Deposit Count Sheet, and Petty Cash Count Sheet
  • Scanning and entry of invoices into computer
  • Creation and maintenance of menus (Liquids, Specials, Tuesday nights, etc.)

Hiring & Training:

  • Responsible for Bar, Server, Server’s Assistant and Host personnel (with GM guidance)
  • Implement and update training materials for all FOH departments regularly (with GM review).
  • Receiving and answering applicants
  • Conducting of Interviews
  • Hiring (with GM review)
  • Emailing all necessary info to new hires
  • Scheduling Training of new hires
  • Administering food/cider/beer tests
  • Grading food/cider/beer tests
  • Collection of ServSafe and Basset certificates from new hires, monitor and maintain valid certifications from current staff.
  • Entering new hires into POS

Scheduling HR & Related:

  • Management of shift changes/swaps (must check hours)
  • Issuing of write-ups and disciplinary forms
  • Termination of employees (GM approval)
  • Recording ALL employee injuries at work on incident report form
  • Recording any relevant occurrences with employees or guests on incident report form
