Team Overview We are a global team that ensures EquiLend’s internal teams have all their legal needs attended to in a calm, professional and diligent manner. We regularly interface with clients on various legal matters to reduce risk and negotiate contracts amongst other areas. 

Reporting to the General Counsel, we are now looking for a General Attorney to join our team who can help manage and facilitate a variety of legal matters globally. Role Responsibilities

• Reviewing, negotiating, amending, and finalizing agreements and other documents with clients and vendors
• Update agreement templates, and ensure updated templates are made available internally and to external clients
• Handle employment-related legal matters
• Providing legal advice that extends to the range of EquiLend's product suite such as trading and sales products
• Write business correspondence and perform general administrative tasks as needed
• Be adaptable and willing to pick up other legal tasks as required by the General Counsel

Required Skills

• 3 years' experience in a similar role including experience in assisting contract negotiation a reviews 
• You have a calm approach to problem solving even when multitasking and have excellent attention to detail
• NY Bar membership required 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, management, clients, etc.
• Must possess be very detail-oriented and have strong organization and time management skills
• Bachelor’s & Juris Doctorate Degrees required
