Position: Inside Account Manager

The Inside Account Manager (IAM) should have a solid fundamental working knowledge of Sales and Sales
Processes. They will be responsible for creation, organization, execution, and completion of quotes and
sales related customer facing material, as well as communication with end customers and business
operations personnel. They will need to communicate with staff, customers, partners, manufacturers, and
distribution. Through primarily telephone interaction, this sales professional will support an account
portfolio of valued customers to locate and secure the right products or services for their specific needs.
Frequently working with the Account Executive, supplier partners, engineers, and other internal Epoch
resources, the IAM will offer exemplary customer service and product knowledge expertise with an aim to
expand market share and grow our business.

group and demonstrating the ability to follow up on quotes and orders.
• You balance working independently with working with your team and other Epoch employees,
customers, and vendors to achieve desired results.
• You excel in developing and maintaining a positive team cohesiveness.
• You thrive in environments where you can interact with and influence multiple people at different
levels of the organization simultaneously.
What you’ll do:
• Strategically manage assigned portfolio through research, competitive analysis, interaction with
engineers, Account Executives and other Epoch resources within territory as necessary.
• Identify new sales opportunities by working with buyers and engineers to provide quotes, technical
support and data sheets, and placing purchase orders.
• Access vendor portals and utilize vendor tools to ensure deal registrations, product configurations,
and special pricing requests.
• Quote Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure that registered pricing is reflected in all quotes.
• Manage assigned portfolio by taking proactive and regular actions related to sales and the
administration of the account.
• Maintain accounts by providing customer service on orders including tracking shipments,
maintaining orders, managing backlog, expediting orders and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with internal resources to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide post-sales service by ensuring the products’ arrival at the customer location in a timely
fashion.
• Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
What you’ll bring:
• Associate degree with 5-7 years of experience (or High school graduate with equivalent related
experience).
• Knowledge of IT industry and Federal Procurement.
• Specialized and/or multi skilled experience from on-the-job training.
• Strong cold calling skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships.
• May require specific vendor and/or security certifications.
• Experience with United States Space Force a plus.
