We are seeking a Senior Food Safety General Manager for a large national food distribution company. This individual will help develop and formulate quality policies and programs for all food operations within. The Senior Food Safety GM will oversee all of the QA/QC nationwide and must have a vision and purpose to adhere to all food safety guidelines and deliver in all programs and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing guidance, supervision, and vision to support and ensure regulatory expectations at all locations nationwide.
• Communicate quality assurance related information with all customers and other external contacts including government regulators at their specific location.
• Supervise QA Supervisors, food assembly line, and warehouse team of QC Technicians.
• Provide for the introduction and daily application of the quality policy in the plant to satisfy the rules that apply with respect to HACCP and food safety.
• Must be accessible at all times to react to urgent Food Safety matters as it pertains to recalls, presumptive positives, and other critical events that require immediate action.

• SQF Audit/Inspection Protocol
• Food Defense Audit Protocol
• HACP Protocol
• Vendor Environmental Testing Requirements
• Regulatory FDA, USDA, State, County, City Health Department requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• HACCP Certification
• Food Defense Certification
• SQF Practitioner
• Some college level management education and/or 2 yes warehouse super vising in wholesale industry
• Experience with proteins and seafood (Is a plus)
