POSITION OVERVIEW: 
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for designing and implementing streamlined processes to optimize the flow of goods within the warehouse. This includes efficient inventory management, order processing, and distribution. 
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Inventory Control - Maintaining accurate inventory levels is a critical aspect of the role. This involves monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to minimize discrepancies.
  • Staff Management - The Operations Manager is tasked with overseeing warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling. They are responsible for setting up warehouse staff training, creating warehouse work instructions, implementing escalation flows, and managing warehouse staffing schedules that support warehouse operations.
  • Health and Safety Compliance - The safety of both employees and products is paramount. The Operations Manager is responsible for implementing and enforcing safety protocols, including training on proper handling of materials and equipment.
  • Cost Control - Managing operational costs is essential. This includes optimizing labor, equipment usage, and other resources to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality service.
  • Quality Assurance - Ensuring the accuracy and quality of products during the receiving, storage, and shipping processes. The warehouse Operations Manager may implement quality control measures to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Customer service relations - Collaborating with other cross and vertical functional teams, especially Supply Chain Security Operational and logistics teams, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. This includes track and trace, on time recovery, inbound, outbound, shipping and addressing responding to warehouse inquiries and resolving any issues related to warehouse operations.
  • Operational Tasks Support - Collaborate with Supply chain Security Operations team and the cross functions to execute operational tasks and deliverables. Post-production support with secure transport of main and/or back-up SSD (Hard Drive with IP Data)
  • Continuous Improvement - The Warehouse Operations Manager is tasked with identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance overall warehouse performance. This may involve process optimization, technology upgrades, or other strategic initiatives.
  • Service management – Responsible for overall Global operations solutions · Assures overall inventory accuracy SLAs are achieved and maintained.
  • Service governance · Quarterly-Annual Business Performance Review (QBR) · New business/change management – Monthly checkpoints · Expense management · Managing timesheets, support with staffing changes / supplemental services
  • Weekly cadence with Vendor teams
  • Owns Vendor process and procedures
  • Responsible for SLA attainment, creating and updating SOP’s
  • Facilitation of system improvements, process enhancements, training, education and metric analysis
  • Guides service leads (Inbound, Outbound, Reverse, Deployment, Supply Depot), meeting daily and during weekly ops reviews
  • Works directly with Service Delivery Manager to meet supply chain need
  • Works directly with Global Security Service Owner & Service Delivery Manager to coordinate, prioritize and maintain optimal service execution to goals and expectations of client-specific key performance indicators. Further developing existing KPI’s & analyzing accordingly
  • Conducts regular 1:1 meetings with all reports to provide guidance and support · Proactively develops business relationships with client business partners & external service providers.
  • Proactive and persistent in addressing challenges and in the development of innovative processes and solutions
  • Experience in Network Optimization (Moving into new 3PL's)
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to strategically manage and drive positive financial results
  • Ability to summarize data logically and communicate information as well as recommendations clearly to all levels of the organization, especially our client
  • Great interpersonal skills; expert at Excel/Google Sheets; proficient at Microsoft and Google suite of services, ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and changing variables
  • Ability to be a collaborative team member in a dynamic growth environment
  • Work with other departments to incorporate logistics into company procedures and operations
  • Update and evaluate financial and business KPIs for supply chain to assess performance and identify areas for improvement · Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project database oversight, reporting regularly to senior management on progress and problems that can affect costs or schedules
  • Strategize with internal business units and vendors to identify opportunities for continuous improvements to the current supply chain network
  • Identify risk and optimize opportunities across internal and external order management systems and a complex network of domestic and international vendors
  • Publishing, analyzing, optimizing and overseeing capacity, cost and delivery related KPI

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 

  • 5-7 years progressive experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management and Purchasing; must have an excellent grasp of upstream and downstream supply chain processes
    • 3-5 years of experience working in warehouse logistics including domestic and international shipping and receiving, delivery and inventory
  • Positive attitude - Strong sense of urgency with proven ability to multi-task 
  • Demonstrated ability to direct others effectively as a leader 
  • Customer service experience along with good work ethic, honest, dependable
  • Good communicator/verbally and written 
  • Great interpersonal skills
