Job Title: Junior Staff Accountant
Location: North Scottsdale, Arizona

Schedule: On-Site Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. No nights, no weekends, and no major holidays!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our accounting team as a Junior Staff Accountant. This entry-level position is crucial in supporting various accounting functions, including cash and checks collection, documentation management, accounting email correspondence, administrative tasks, and accounts payable responsibilities. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department.

Specific Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

· Process daily accounting transactions for multiple entities.

· Import credit card transactions into accounting software.

· Assist Staff Accountants with AP activities.

· Distribute/sort daily incoming mail to appropriate departments or employees.

· Review and monitor accounting email inboxes for vendor, payroll, or other inquiries.

· Verify, scan, download, and file supporting documentation for all accounting transactions.

· Collect checks from multiple locations; biweekly bank trips to deposit cash or foreign checks.

· Maintain accurate vendor files across multiple entities.

· Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies.

· Prepare correspondence as needed within the accounting department.

· Follow company’s established accounting processes and procedures.

· Other applicable duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).

· Proficient or basic understanding of accounting rules and GAAP.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Effective communication skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively and assist in various accounting functions.

· Adherence to confidentiality and data security protocols.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
