Job description:

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the manager will be responsible for media relations, editorial content, internal and external communication collateral, and developing a PR plan, including press releases, media statements and talking points. 

Responsibilities:

Collaborate cross-functionally with science, operations, and business units to create internal and external communications and marketing collateral including but not limited to website copy, blog and editorial, original social content, presentations, marketing campaigns, email and investor communications. Work with our CMO and government affairs teams to develop narratives that capture attention and brand interest. We are looking for a skilled wordsmith with a strong understanding of content marketing and public relations pitching with local and national media and demonstrated success in securing media coverage. You have a passion for research and staying up on current trends to generate story opportunities, while building new media relationships and maintaining others. You’ll also work alongside our Sr. Brand Marketing Manager to develop internal content calendar inclusive of blogs, emails, and company social media platforms. 

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience at a PR firm or in-house communications team
• Undergraduate degree in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or equivalent 
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines 
• Demonstrated experience delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain media relationships with various media outlets
• Self-motivated in guiding work from inception to completion
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to log and track creative projects in a project management software: monday.com, Asana, or similar platform
• Proficiency in English & Spanish
