Summary

SPI is seeking qualified candidates to provide sales and PR support working with the CEO. The position also includes providing some PR support oversight for the company’s consulting partners throughout the U.S.

This is an In-Office position in the company’s Austin office at 7500 Rialto Blvd. We are looking for an individual interested in a fast-paced, exciting, and rewarding opportunity to be part of a team that focuses on the U.S. government marketplace.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in sales presentations with the CEO;
  • Provide sales administrative assistance for the CEO (this would involve information gathering and maintaining a sales database;
  • Handle incoming prospect calls occasionally to determine fit for SPI services;
  • Assume responsibility for social media postings and column placement outreach;
  • Provide PR oversight for the multi-state Consulting Partners Division which includes monthly communication and outreach;
  • Assist by overseeing ad placement and provide publication day oversight for two weekly digital newsletters;
  • Handle social media outreach activities; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

TRAITS AND EDUCATION (REQUIRED AND PREFERRED)

  • Graduation from an accredited 4-year college or university preferably with a degree that includes marketing, sales, public relations or equivalent;
  • Basic understanding of the government marketplace;
  • 3 -4 years’ experience in a company working environment;
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems;
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software;
  • Microsoft Office: 2 years
  • Graphic design expertise would be of high value;
  • Position requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy;
  • Pleasant, professional, and outgoing personality;
  • Capacity to build relationships and identify key contacts;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, and an ability to anticipate needs;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision;
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills;
  • Able to effectively handle multiple tasks; and
  • Solid web based and computer skills, particularly internet searches and MS Office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
