Who We Want
The Senior Public Relations Specialist is responsible for executing public relations strategies and tactics across multiple channels to promote the company's brand and services. This role requires a deep understanding of PR, strong writing and editing skills and attention to detail. The Senior Public Relations Specialist will manage media and vendor relationships, create compelling content, and measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns. This role provides expertise in communications in all its nuanced forms, from written press releases and social copy to creating effective pre-documents for internal stakeholders. You'll thrive in this role if you have a keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment!
What You'll Do

• Effectively manage our relationship with PR firm.
• Run awards campaigns.
• Develop and execute public relations strategies and tactics across various channels (e.g., social media, email marketing, press releases) to promote the company's brand and services.
• Research, develop, and implement innovative public involvement techniques.
• Manage media relationships by identifying key influencers, pitching stories, and responding to inquiries.
• Partner with content strategists to distribute content on social and earned media.
• Measure the success of PR campaigns.
• Collaborate closely with other members of the communications team to ensure consistency and alignment across all communication channels.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continually improve PR efforts.
• Development and upkeep of preemptive plans for potential crisis communications.
• Assists executive leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other important corporate messages.
• May act as corporate spokesperson in select instances and respond to members of the media in a timely manner; composes and distributes press releases as needed.
• Analyze data and draw insights to inform future PR strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and research skills with the ability to create compelling content across different channels.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience managing media relationships and securing media coverage.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field preferred.
• 4-5 years of experience in public relations
• Social media marketing experience is required.
• Deep understanding of what makes excellent, strong copy, messaging and positive and effective audience experiences.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Superior ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for corporate and external publications.
• B2B experience is preferred
