Job description

The Endoscopy Center of Ocean County and Toms River are urgently looking for full-time registered nurses. The Endoscopy Center Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for caring for patients before, during and after procedures at the Endoscopy Center. The Endoscopy Nurse works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and uses independent judgment in assessing problems and devising work methods, The Endoscopy nurse has an understanding of the philosophy and objectives of the Endoscopy Center. There must be a constant awareness of the policies and procedures of the center.

Education & Experience:

• Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current valid New Jersey state license to practice as a registered nurse
• Must be Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
• Must be Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certified
• Compliance with patient right to privacy, confidentiality and all HIPAA policies
• Maintains flexibility and performs other duties as required.
• Previous experience in an admitting, pre/intra procedure or recovery, but not required, willing to train on the job
• Registered nurse must be willing to work in all 3 areas; pre-op, OR, and recovery.
• Pre-employment physical with additional testing as required to meet all applicable standards

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Able to read, write, and communicate, interact with staff in a team environment, maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards, to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress, to understand and follow safety procedures, able to safely lift, and physically support patients.

Schedule

• 8 -10 hour shifts, typically (Can be shorter or longer; depending on MD’s scheduled procedures for the day.)
• 4 Days per week
• Monday – Friday ; Day time hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.83 - $43.15 per hour
