Endeavor: Stonehill Lawrence is Hiring a Front Desk (Part-time) Near Lawrence, KS

Endeavor: Stone Hill Lawrence located in Lawrence; KS is currently seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Part Time Front Desk Clerk. The Front Desk Clerk is responsible to perform a wide variety of receptionist, secretarial as well as customer service duties at our main entrance desk. As the first member of our hotel team to be seen by customers, this position must remain professional, presentable and friendly towards customers and other team members at all times. The variety of duties as well as the fast-paced environment associated with this position require an ability to multi-task, communicate well and remain organized at all times.

Specific job responsibilities include:

Customer Service

  • Greets guests, providing them with superb customer service
  • Answers all customer questions in person and over the phone
  • Redirects incoming phone calls to the appropriate department and takes messages when necessary
  • Monitors, organizes and forwards emails to appropriate personnel
  • Accurately processes customer monetary transactions

Clerical Duties

  • Ensures the front desk area is neat, presentable and equipped with all the necessary supplies such as pens, forms and paper
  • Accepts all letters and packages, distributing them to the appropriate departments and personnel as necessary
  • Maintains customer records and files

Various other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or experience in related field
  • Basic knowledge of hotel processes
  • Customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Skilled with attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, multi-tasking, self motivation, organization, customer relationship building, time management and computer application literacy
