The Assistant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher to implement curriculum in a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment that supports each child's educational, social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth and development
- Assist in creating engaging, age-appropriate lessons using provided curriculum.
- Establish classroom management utilizing positive coaching
- Encourage and assist in positive social interactions.
- Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times
- Higher wage rate for AA in Early Childhood Education or relevant field
- Child Care Certification Preferred
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid
- High School Diploma or GED minimum
- Professional Development Units / Credits, preferred
- Experience in Early Childhood Education in a certified child development center (minimum 6 months) preferred
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as a laptop computer and smartphone

All applicants must pass the MSDE required medical evaluation and Maryland State and background check to move forward in the hiring process. In addition, all staff must complete 6-12 hours of continuing education yearly which is scheduled and paid for by Center.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $23.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
