Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Use effective teaching strategies to facilitate student learning and understanding
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment
- Provide early intervention and support for students who may be struggling academically or behaviorally
- Incorporate technology and other resources into lessons to enhance student learning
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and diversity
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification or license
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in education
- Ability to effectively manage student behavior and promote positive behavior management techniques
- Experience with early intervention strategies for academic or behavioral support
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum and instructional methods
- Proficiency in math, literacy, science, or other subject areas as required by the position
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Knowledge of physical education principles and activities
