Endeavor Health Services is looking for an experienced and organized on-site Accountant to join our team. This crucial role involves managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Excellence in this position requires a knowledge of principles, methods, and practices of general accounting. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial record-keeping.

As our Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. You will be responsible for performing accounting duties such as recording journal entries, analyzing, and reconciling General Ledger accounts, and assisting with the preparation of monthly reports. You should be able to work independently and practice discretion when handling confidential payroll information. Responsibilities:

• Preparation of journal entries.
• Analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Maintain and record transactions related to contracts and grants.
• Maintain and record depreciation and closing entries.
• Prepare bank deposits, deliver to near-by bank when necessary.
• Assist Controller with monthly closings and ad-hoc projects.
• Function as a back-up for Accounts Payable when needed (we will train).

Qualifications:

• Education: BS in Accounting or Business Administration and at least 1-2 years of practical accounting experience. 
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Detail oriented with organization skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with not-for-profit entities or healthcare a plus (not required).
