Job Summary

The Emissions Technician position is an entry level position that will focus on conducting monthly Audio, Visual, and Olfactory (AVO) inspections of production facilities as well as conducting smoke observations of combustors utilizing EPA Method 22. This position will also be responsible for reviewing Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) data from Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR), Direct Read, satellite and other types of LDAR surveys to conduct top-down and bottom-up emissions rectification and emission's source investigation. This person will support Super-Emitter Investigations and emission reduction initiatives. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Monthly Combustor AVO Inspections documentation and quality control for all locations assigned.

· Investigate identified leaks from inspection or site alarms and assist with repairs or perform repairs.

· Assist with combustor maintenance activities and conduct combustor maintenance in the field on occasion when issues are encountered.

· Utilize contractor inspections and peer leak detection reports to conduct top-down/bottom-up rectification of location emissions. 

· Ensure communication with operational stakeholders regarding the LDAR program and equipment status.

· Interact with I&E Technicians, Measurement and Controls Technicians, and Lease Operators to maximize well production and end-user time

· Interact with Production, Operations and Facilities employees to help reducing environmental hazards, safety risks, and costs.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

· Proficient in computer use and large data manipulation.

· Able to complete training on Combustor & AVO inspections.

· Knowledge of or capability of becoming proficient in lock-out-tag-out procedures.

· Mechanical inclination for conducting basic maintenance activities.

· Self-starter and self-driven to compete high quality work.

· Proven record of meticulous data keeping and setting self-standards.

· Intermediate knowledge of safety/environmental requirements and practices.

· Intermediate knowledge of oil and gas processes & production equipment.

· Demonstrated effective use of a personal computer including Excel and other Microsoft Office Applications.

Education 

High School Diploma, G.E.D, or AAS or Vocational Certificate in a technical field required.

A minimum of two years of experience in a related role or one year of experience with an AAS or Vocational Certificate in a technical field.

Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly

Relocation
This position is not eligible for domestic relocation.

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel anticipated for this position is less than 10% but may include overnight extended stays.

Work Environment

This job is predominately located in a field-operations-based environment with subject to seasonal field conditions ranging from normal to extreme temperature and weather conditions.

Work Schedule

This position is based on a Monday-Friday 8-5 flexible work schedule. Must be available to work “on-call” on nights and weekends if needed on rare occasions. Typical operations run 24/7. Schedule may vary based on Field Operations.
