THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE.

We are seeking a flexible individual who is self-driven, creative, and customer focused to assist customers and work cooperatively with local partners in the America's Job Center of California. Under supervision, the Employment Program Representative (EPR) would promote the Employment Development Department (EDD) and Workforce Services (WS) programs and/or services through the delivery method of self-service, facilitated self-help and staff assisted services by providing employment services to job seekers and employers. The Workforce Services Branch (WSB) supports EDD's goals by connecting our customers to a comprehensive range of employment and training services in collaboration with partnership organizations, state and local municipalities throughout numerous America's Job Center of CaliforniaSM locations. With work playing such a pivotal role in our lives, WSB understands achieving a work-life balance has become essential to our culture. As a result, WSB offers a hybrid workforce environment with some telework availability for our employees. This position may require travel or be assigned to another office within the Cluster. Per the Governor's Office of California, the Employment Development Department is considered an essential department. Working Conditions

Customer Service in an office environment. Occasional and overnight travel will be required.

Background Investigation Requirement

The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation. However, applicants will not be asked to provide information about a conviction history unless they receive a conditional offer of employment.

The department will make an individualized assessment of whether the conviction history has a direct or adverse relationship with the specific duties of the job and the work performed by the department.
