Description

This FT position located in Glastonbury, CT performs all duties related to the design, administration, and maintenance of EFP benefits programs including health insurance, flexible spending programs, dental reimbursement, company paid benefits, voluntary benefits, leaves of absence, and retirement plan oversight. Responsible for benefits communication, policy development, and the monitoring of competitive benefit trends.

1. Benefits vendor negotiation, renewal paperwork, and annual medical rate/Rx renewal calculations to model cost effective alternatives. Oversees all carrier benefit file preparation and request for information including annual census file submissions.
2. Preparation of employee communications including new hire benefit guides, open enrollment guides and annual communications, rate sheet, new hire benefits orientation, employee and HR contact sheets, etc.
3. Manages HRIS systems to update employee eligibility, benefit rates, deferrals, ACA, etc., including, Verko, Paylocity, Empower Retirement, AllyHealth, and other vendor websites.
4. Coordination of benefits with EFP wellness initiatives and events. Keeps polices up to date and communicates and posts benefits policies and notices as required.
5. Manages and coordinates state leaves of absences and return to work, workers compensation claims, UNUM processing notifications, and benefits invoices to Payroll.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in human resources or business-related field.
• Active appropriate state life and health insurance license will be required within 180 days of employment, paid by EFP.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience with at least 2 years management experience.
• Strong excel, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills required.
