Join our team as a PURCHASING MANAGER in Houston, TX!
The Purchasing Manager leads the team on sourcing vendors, suppliers for the end to end construction production. This includes, but is not limited to identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvements that ensures timely delivery of materials, trades and services across our construction sites in accordance to schedules and budgets.
What You Will Do:
- Sources and manages relationship with trade partners, suppliers, leading resolutions of issues and actively engages in identification of opportunities for improvement
- Drives operational excellence by continuously identifying and recommending opportunities to improve processes, systems, procedures, and policies within procurement
- Works collaboratively with Décor to develop, research, create and maintain the Product Library and set up of new Décor offerings.
- Review scopes of work, architectural plans, and pricing to confirm accurate issuance of purchase orders through Newstar.
- Liaison with trade partners, Construction, Marketing, Customer Service and Décor to ensure trade partners have the appropriate information to fulfill contractual obligations
- Post-secondary Bachelor Degree, College Diploma in Architecture, Supply Chain or relevant field of study
- Excellent knowledge of construction, procurement, and estimating processes and procedures
