SUMMARY OF JOB: Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for the delivery and renewal of group insurance medical, dental, ASO, and vision products. Servicing the needs of current EMI Health employer group clients and their designated brokers. This position interfaces with actuaries in finalizing renewal rates, reviewing loss ratios, funding strategies, and other contributing factors when preparing renewals for existing group business. Duties include member education, open enrollment meetings, being available and responsive during normal weekday working hours for EMI Health (EMI) and its members. This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Qualifications


PRIMARY responsibilities:

  • Trusted point of contact between EMI Health and an employer group (client) who has our insurance.
  • Strengthen relationships and build trust with the agencies and brokers who represent those clients.
  • Deliver educational materials year-round, but especially at open enrollment meetings.
  • Give open enrollment presentations on benefit education and EMI Health’s suite of products and services.
  • Ensure contract renewal information, rates, benefit options, and renewal letters are accurate and posted.
  • Verify ID cards and member handbooks are received by the employer groups within the designated time frame.
  • Renew existing business and be capable of speaking to voluntary products and cross-selling other EMI Health offerings.
  • Hit goals 90% retention.
  • Perform detailed review and cost analysis at client’s annual renewal.
  • Develops and prepares contract renewal information, rates, benefit options, and renewal letters and handles any contract or SPD modifications for self-funded groups.
  • Provides escalated issue resolution for employer groups for any products EMI Health offers.
  • SOME TRAVEL REQUIRED: Driving to appointments and meetings in Utah. Most travel is same-day travel in Utah. Occasionally could include St George.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors or Associated Degree preferred.
  • Senior Level Account Manager with experience in TPA, Self-Funding, ASO, Stop Loss highly recommended. 5 -Years of industry experience to qualify required for ‘Senior Account Manager’ title.
  • REQUIRED: Valid Accident & Health Utah Resident Producer license.
  • Self-Funded, Stop Loss, TPA, ASO experience required. CSFS© designation strongly encouraged, not required.
