Company DescriptionPrivate neurological surgery practice Job DescriptionWe are searching for a full-time Patient Account Representative / Medical Biller forour busy private surgery practice located in Murray. The practice is open Monday - Friday duringregular business hours, no nights or weekend required. The hours could be flexible depending onexperience. Include: Verifying patient eligibility and coveragebenefits. Obtain pre-authorization for radiology,surgical services or miscellaneous items as needed.Insurance billing and account follow-up usingfinancial aging reports. Prepare refunds for patient receivables.Calculate patient responsibility, negotiatecollections for services rendered or scheduled. Familiarization with insurance carrierguidelines for services provided. Answer billing inquires with patients,providers and staff.QualificationsMust be dependable, honest, compassionateindividual to work with our patients, providers and staff.Requires 3 to 5 years of healthcarecollections or equivalent experience. Knowledge of physician procedure anddiagnosis coding.Excellent verbal and written communicationand customer service skills. Demonstrate knowledge of health insurancebilling, collection processes / requirements, and procedure and diagnosis coding.
