Emergent Holdings Career Section is Hiring a Health Care Analyst Near Detroit, MI

SUMMARY 

Responsible for identifying, collecting, analyzing, and maintaining data to evaluate issues that support prospective business decisions. Coordinate projects for senior management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Research, analyze, identify, and evaluate data from assigned problems to evaluate existing and potential trends and issues.
  2. Possess and maintain a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of BCBSM business, products, programs (including provider data, networks, etc.), corporate organizational structure (including functional responsibilities), and basic research principles/methodologies.
  3. Assist in the management and monitoring of multiple projects simultaneously by establishing project plans and objectives to ensure goal attainment within defined parameters.
  4. Communicate results of analysis to management via reports/presentations and assist management in implementing programs that provide solutions.
  5. Recommend, communicate, and implement solutions to identified problems/root cause of issues.
  6. Provide expertise and guidance to unit and corporate staff as required.
  7. Represent and participate in group or committee discussions.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Care, Information Systems, Statistics or other related field is required. Master's Degree in related field preferred.
  2. Four (4) or more years of experience in related field required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Strong communication skills are required to understand, interpret, and communicate ideas.
  2. Strong knowledge and use of existing software packages (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc). 
  3. Working knowledge of data languages such as SAS or SQL.
  4. Strong analytical, organizational, planning and problem solving skills.
  5. Ability to effectively interface with employees at all levels.
  6. Understand and apply statistical inference.
  7. Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PAY RANGE: 

Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate’s skills and professional experience, geographic location, market, and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $70,400 and $117,800.
