ELSSA is Hiring an Infant Teacher / Floater Near Orlando, FL

This is a full-time position with a Monday – Friday schedule, 10am-6pm. The starting pay rate is $12-13 per hour based on experience and qualifications. This position is onsite at our center: 10279 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32817. 
The Infant/Floater Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. The teacher in this role supports the teachers and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and by assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education.

What You’ll Do:
• Observe and document children’s interest and progress, and relay that information back to parents and staff 
• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by creating classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
• Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate exercises to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
• Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with both center’s vision and state and local / state requirements 
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement 
• Develop a well-balanced schedule of activities including learning, playing, diapering / Potty Training, eating, and napping 
 
What We Need from You: 
• High School Diploma and/or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study
• DCF 45 Hours, or willingness to obtain within 90 days; please email transcripts to aracicot@source2.com. You can retrieve the transcript from https://training01-dcf.myflorida.com/studentsite/admin/signin.• Must clear a full level II DCF background check 
• Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed 
• Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns 
• Demonstrate empathy and patience in difficult situations while being Cheerful, enthusiastic, and engaging in the workplace
